Daniel Blakeman

Daniel Blakeman died after he was hit by a white Citroen Berlingo van in Waterloo Road on 17 July 2020.

A 33-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder. Another man was also arrested on a charge of conspiracy to murder.

Daniel Blakeman had been riding along on a bicycle with a woman passenger when he was hit at about 9.50pm. He later died on 11 August 2020.

The 33-year-old man was also arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, causing serious injury by dangerous driving, causing grievous bodily harm, failing to stop after an accident and criminal damage.

The other man was also arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent, sexual assault on a female, assault with intent to commit robbery, possession of a Class A drug and acquiring or using criminal property.

However, nothing more is known.
